Let yourself be guided by a varied and enjoyable Enduro trail, which requires a good level of fitness.

From the arrival point of the Tognola cable car at an altitude of 2,200 metres above sea level, follow the forest road to Malga Tognola, at an altitude of 1,988 metres above sea level. From here, until you reach the Valsorda forest hut, the trail has been recently repaired and equipped with wooden walkways to cross the marshy areas, before entering the woods of Valsorda and enjoying an excellent flow.

From the forest hut, climb towards Malga Valsorda (1918 metres above sea level) following the forest road until you reach the Valsorda pass (2094 metres above sea level) along trail 390. This section is quite challenging, as you will need to carry your bike for about 20 minutes until you reach the pass.

From here, continue along the ridge to the right, following an old trail, which has almost disappeared in places but is still visible, running along the crest of the mountain. After about half an hour, the beautiful descent to Malga Fiamena (1752 metres above sea level) begins, from where you return along the forest road to the junction with Malga Boalon (1686 metres above sea level) and then Zortea (1030 metres above sea level).

MALGA FIAMENA

From the forest hut, climb towards Malga Valsorda (1918 metres above sea level) following the forest road until you reach the Valsorda pass (2094 metres above sea level) along trail 390. This section is quite challenging, as you will need to carry your bike for about 20 minutes until you reach the pass.

From here, continue along the ridge to the right, following an old trail, which has almost disappeared in places but is still visible, running along the crest of the mountain. After about half an hour, the beautiful descent to Malga Fiamena (1752 metres above sea level) begins, from where you return along the forest road to the junction with Malga Boalon (1686 metres above sea level) and then Zortea (1030 metres above sea level).

VALCIGOLERA

ENDURO TRAIL

Embark on a varied and enjoyable medium-level tour that allows you to explore Valcigolera starting from Alpe Tognola.

Once you get off the Tognola cable car, descend along the forest road along the Rododendro slope, following the signs for Malga Tognola. Once you reach the Malga, continue until you cross the Rododendro chairlift line, where you turn left following the signs for Malga Valcigolera and passing close to the departure station of the Cigolera ski lift.

A few metres further on, at the fork, turn left again towards Malga Valcigolera and follow the path that runs along the ridge of the mountain for about 45 minutes, with some enjoyable ups and downs.

Once you reach Malga Valcigolera, climb back up towards Coston following the Sentiero della Pace (Path of Peace) and follow the entire ridge of the Skiweg on the Rekord slope to the entrance of the Sentiero del Cervo (Deer Path), which descends towards Malga Ces. Just before the Malga, turn right at the junction and follow the signs for San Martino di Castrozza and then for the Tognola cable car car park, thus completing the loop.

VALCIGOLERA

ENDURO TRAIL

Embark on a varied and enjoyable medium-level tour that allows you to explore Valcigolera starting from Alpe Tognola.

VALSORDA

Valsorda is a small valley connecting Alpe Tognola to the nearby Vanoi Valley in a south-westerly direction, directly opposite the imposing Cima d’Asta massif.

Located partly within the Paneveggio – Pale di San Martino Natural Park, it is an area of rare beauty with numerous trails to explore during the summer, either by bike or on foot.

A historic passageway on the famous Transalp route from San Martino di Castrozza to Crespano del Grappa, part of the trail was completely rebuilt during the summer of 2013 and offers cyclists features that are truly unique in the area, such as wooden walkways over marshy areas and excellent flow. After the first common section of the trail, there are three different options for reaching the Vanoi Valley.

VALCIGOLERA

Valcigolera is a side valley in the heart of the Paneveggio – Pale di San Martino Natural Park, which leads from Alpe Tognola to the Lagorai peaks.

A true paradise for freeriding in winter, it also offers a varied and enjoyable route in summer for mountain biking or enduro/XC biking.

Compared to nearby Valsorda, the Valcigolera bike trails allow you to complete a loop in just over two hours, returning to San Martino di Castrozza or the Tognola cable car car park.

Please note: Valcigolera is located in the heart of the Paneveggio – Pale di San Martino Natural Park. To cycle along its trails, you must be accompanied by a qualified cycling guide.
